But I develop websites for corporate clients who do use Twitter...and I think this GatherFollowers service might be a way I could create some free site-churn to help justify my monthly fees. Plus, I just Googled "twitter follower train" and found dozens of similar services. Thanks for the tip!

Re: How to Make Enemies and Annoy People on Twitter with GatherFollowers.com

Well put sir. Shamefully, back in 2006 I lost myself in a folly of joining MySpace friend trains which reflects traits if not mirrors the follower banks and pyramids that spawned from Twitter. I was obsessed; became addicted to adding friends and having people add me. It wasn't for the sake of building relationships but to reach a higher plateau in the form of a friend count. Its like playing a game and being overwhelmed with the prospect of reaching a new level or attaining a treasure. You mindlessly begin to become controlled by the game you're playing. I may be reaching too deep into the psychological realm of attaining new Twitter followers via GatherFollowers but the overall damaging effects this phenomena has exist purely on the desire to want; need. Out of every 100 people a person is following, 10 of those are relevant of a relationship with sustenance. So what need could exist beyond that? The need to achieve an imaginary sense of self worth could be a reason to follow people, maybe? I know this doesn't apply to all cases but if you seriously have more than 100 followers and can truthfully attest to gathering relevant data from each as well as maintain a healthy, possibly monetary, relationship... more power to you.

Re: How to Make Enemies and Annoy People on Twitter with GatherFollowers.com

Bless you. If only people paid attention.
Some of these follow-getters are actually wormy, and can nab your Twitter feed and hang on to it whether you deauthorizeit or whatever
