First of all, I had same problem and I looked the solutions from the net. But I just thank. Just do the following rules. You can find it :)
-Go to Store manu from the itunes menus (up there)
- then click the Authorize computer, then insert the "user name and password" That's all. After that u can sync your applications :)) Your welcome :))

Re: iPhone Sync: “Some of the applications in your iTunes library were not installed because one or more errors occurred.” - Chris Pratt // Shun the non-believer… Shhhhunnn…

This worked for me too. (in applications folder, if present)
go to STORE --> Authorize Computer.... enter I-tunes user id and password...
After authorization.... re-sync the i-phone and watch the apps installation status in the bar.

My issue was that I returned a defective i-phone with a new one but the authorization was only on the first i-phone.

Hope this helps out.

Re: iPhone Sync: “Some of the applications in your iTunes library were not installed because one or more errors occurred.” - Chris Pratt // Shun the non-believer… Shhhhunnn…

Thanks, Dustin! Thank you very much for this helpful tip!

Re: iPhone Sync: “Some of the applications in your iTunes library were not installed because one or more errors occurred.” - Chris Pratt // Shun the non-believer… Shhhhunnn…

Actually, I'm not entirely sure what iTunes actually backs up during the backup process. The one time that I restored my iPhone from backup, it reinstalled all the apps with fresh preference files and didn't carry over any of the iPhone preferences (e.g. I has to re-setup wireless networks, and such).

Re: iPhone Sync: “Some of the applications in your iTunes library were not installed because one or more errors occurred.” - Chris Pratt // Shun the non-believer… Shhhhunnn…

So then what good is backing up your iphone / ipod apps with a Mac?... apparently it's NO good.
